Sliced bread of choice (I like sprouted whole grain or sourdough)
Vegan cheese slices
turmeric (for color not flavor)
salt (I like using kala namak salt because it has an eggy flavor)
Vegan butter for greasing pan
*Optional ketchup or hot sauce
*Optional vegan tempeh bacon like this
Cut tofu block into 1/4 inch slabs and sprinkle generously with all of your spices on both sides. Place in a greased pan (I like using vegan butter) and cook on medium heat. When flipping to cook the second side add cheese slices and put cover on the pan so that the cheese melts.
Once cheese has melted, put on top of toasted bread with mashed avocado and drizzle with your choice of ketchup or hot sauce. Optional sprinkle of salt & pepper on top and enjoy!
